Artist Talk – War Views
Gespräch mit den Künstler*innen Anzhelika Palyvoda and Vladyslav Riaboshtan
Im Rahmen der Ausstellung „War Views by Anzhelika Palyvoda and Vladyslav Riabosthan“ lädt das Graz Museum zu einem Artist Talk ein. Die beiden Ukrainischen Künstler*innen gehen im Gespräch auf ihre Bilderserien, die sich mit den Folgen des Krieges auseinandersetzen, ein und reflektieren ihren persönlichen Zugang zu den Werken.
Anzhelika Palyvoda lebt zurzeit in Tobelbad bei Graz und beschäftigt sich unter anderem auch mit dem Thema der menschlichen Natur durch das Prisma des Sports. Vladyslav Riaboshtan lebt abwechselnd in Dnipro und Kyiv und widmet sich in seinem künstlerischen Tun vorwiegend den Themenfeldern Industrie- und Eisenbahnlandschaften sowie Industriekultur.
Beide Künstler*innen verbindet ein Malereistudium an der „Nationalen Akademie der Schönen Künste und Architektur Kyiv“.

As part of the exhibition “War Views by Anzhelika Palyvoda and Vladyslav Riabosthan”, the Graz Museum invites you to an Artist Talk. Two Ukrainian artists will discuss their series of paintings, which deal with the consequences of war, and reflect on their personal approaches to the artworks.
Anzhelika Palyvoda currently lives in Tobelbad near Graz and deals, among other things, with the theme of human nature through the prism of sport. Vladyslav Riaboshtan lives in Dnipro and Kyiv. His artistic work primarily tackles the topics of industrial and railway landscapes and industrial culture.
Both artists studied painting at the “National Academy of Visual Arts and Architecture” in Kyiv.
