The \u201870s in Graz"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In Graz, the designs and colours of the 1970s meet exposed concrete. An active urban community is fighting back against the ever-present urban traffic, whilst young people party in cellar discoth\u00e8ques before the pavements are rolled up on Sundays. Amidst crises and optimism for the future, Graz is navigating a decade of new beginnings. What did it mean to break down old structures and implement reforms? What challenges did the residents face, and how did they deal with crises? What did they let go of and what did they keep? <br><br>The exhibition uses eleven selected locations to tell the story of life in Graz in the 1970s. They offer insights into the urban development of a city with a population of 250,000, which established its place within the Austrian and international landscape.<br><br>Insider tip: Take a guided tour of Graz in the 1970s! An \u201cAudio Walk\u201d weaves together anecdotes from contemporary witnesses with background information.
